European Map Demographics Changing Rapidly

​Due to relaxed European Union regulations, migration of Eastern Europeans to Western European countries, such as the United Kingdom, has increased. Western Europe is economically advanced compared to Eastern Europe. Thus, there is disparity between the two halves of Europe.

Recently, many Romanians migrating to the United Kingdom are causing social concern to British residents three months before the London Olympics. According to The Independent, the British government speculates that organized crime is behind the migration of some Romanians. These Romanians migrated to the U.K. in promise of a better life, but have been cheated by immigration criminal rings. To make matters worse, these Romanian migrants are setting up tents overnight due to unemployment near public areas, such as Marble Arch, in London. Unfortunately, Romanians are establishing prostitution in the streets of London too.

Around 2005, many Polish migrants sought jobs in countries including but not limited to France, Germany and the United Kingdom according to libcom.org. Most Polish migrants moved to Western European countries to fill jobs, such as dentistry and farms, highly in demand. However, most jobs given to Polish migrants were provided by companies using illegal tactics, especially in France.

The growing Muslim population of Algerian, Tunisian and Moroccan descent is causing chaos in France. The recent shooting in Toulouse and its aftermath shed some light on France's immigration and diversity issues. Most Muslim immigrants are poor and uneducated compared to Eastern Europeans. Thus, immigration and diversity are crucial in the current French presidential elections.

Economic and political freedom attracts migrants from Eastern Europe and Northern Africa. Thus, Western European countries' population is growing. However, illegality and unskilled immigrants are causing issues in Western European countries. Therefore, many European countries are changing legislation to admit skilled immigrants, impose quotas and prosecute violators of employment and immigration laws.
